This online course (MOOC) gives an introduction to biology.
The video course discusses the basics of biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, recombinant DNA, genomics and rational medicine.
The course is led by MIT Professor Eric Lander, who was one of the leaders of the Human Genome Project (which identified the entire human genome (DNA)).
The goal of the MOOC is to give participants a strong foundation in biology. The course content therefore reflects the topics taught in the MIT introductory biology courses.
